MGB Plastics Limited is delighted to announce that it has hired two new business development managers for 2010. Gary Rolls will be MGB Plastics’ representative in the south east and west of the UK while David Wilson will cover the West and North West of the UK including Wales. Both Gary and David have a wealth of experience in the wheeled bin industry and increases MGB Plastics’ presence across the UK.

 

Commenting on the new Business Development Managers, MGB Plastics General Manager, Conor Sugrue says “We are delighted that have both Gary and David have decided to join MGB. We believe that their experience and enthusiasm will enhance the team at MGB and allow us to maintain our position as the UK’s leading manufacturer of wheeled bins. Both Gary and David are also very excited about the new range of kitchen caddies and kerbside boxes being launched this year by MGB and are confident that this will be a successful addition to our expanding product range”

MGB Plastics Limited is delighted to announce that it has been successful in the wheeled bin tender to supply South Tyneside Council, Sunderland City Council and Gateshead Council. This contract will involve the manufacture and delivery direct to household of over 250,000 240L wheeled bins in 2010. MGB Plastics will manufacture all of the bins at its facility in Rotherham and will deliver the wheeled bins direct to the households in these authorities over the coming months.

 

Commenting on the successful tender, MGB Plastics General Manager, Conor Sugrue says “We are delighted to have been successful in winning the tender to supply South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead with 240L wheeled bins. We believe that this contract win further enhances MGB’s position as the leading manufacturer of wheeled bins in the UK and is testament to our unique distribution service which allows for the direct delivery of wheeled bins from our factory in Rotherham to the household.”

On 15th September 2008, One51 plc acquired the wheelie bin business of Titan from Kingspan plc.

This acquisition is complementary to its existing plastics operations which specialises in injection moulding and is considered a strategic fit to its existing recycling and treatment operations. The business has been re-named/branded MGB Plastics Limited.

Not only do we manufacture wheelie bins, we also provide a unique delivery and collection service to homes throughout the UK. As well as collecting decommissioned wheelie bins we dismantle, recycle and reuse all waste material. MGB Plastics has recently partnered with a mobile granulation firm and can offer on-site granulation at the council depot.

MGB Plastics is currently distributing 100,000 wheelie bins to households in Walsall MBC. In addition, MGB Plastics has also recently won the tender to distribute 200,000 bins to households in Hull in the later part of 2009. It is envisaged that this will be a “twin bin” distribution.
